Using Public Relations to build a brand in local markets
Simon owns and manages shopping centers and is the world’s largest publicly traded retail real estate company. Based in Indianapolis, Simon tapped BCH to help manage its brand reputation in multiple markets across the U.S. Over the past six years BCH has provided public relations services to more than 48 shopping malls and outlet centers in 36 different media markets across the country. While our strategy is customized to each market, our goal is the same: establish the Brand for Simon properties as shopping destinations of choice, as being fashion forward, and as being valued members of their communities.

BCH proactively manages news media, blogger and influencer relationships in multiple markets across the Simon portfolio of malls and Premium Outlet centers. We create unique story angles, interview opportunities and events that generate news media coverage and social media chatter. As a result, Simon’s Brand is clear…malls and outlet centers continue to be viewed as hubs of high-quality shopping, dining and entertainment, as well as strong assets in their respective markets. In each of the past five years, we have garnered increases in positive media coverage in each of the markets we represent, with more than 375 million earned media impressions generated across our markets last year alone.
